An expungement acts to erase your criminal record is important for your life. A criminal charge even if it is dismissed can haunt you. Judge Rachel Bell is holding court on March 4, 2017 and will be conducting an expungement clinic. Here are the details;
1. Where? Mt.Zion Baptist Church 2261 Murfreesboro road, Nashville, TN.37217.
2. Time? Registration is between 8-10 A.M. March 4, 2017.
3. The expungement clinic is between 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.
4. Bring your last several pay stubs, bank records, and two years of tax returns.
Once a criminal charge has been dismissed, it is eligible to be expunged. In some cases, the criminal charges are dismissed on the condition that the court costs are paid. Not being able to pay the court costs prevents a lot of people from having their criminal record from being expunged. Judge Bell will be conducting indigency hearings to determine if the court costs can be waived due to one's economic situation.
My hat is off to Judge Rachel Bell, Mt.Zion Baptist Church, and the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Divison for there efforts to make the Expungement Clinic a success.
