If you are charged with a second DUI or a third DUI, the first thing that happens is there will be some conditions of your bond. Normally, the court will require you to have an interlock installed on your car, which is the ignition air lock device. Also, you could have a scram device, which would be placed on your ankle and that you will be monitored for alcohol use. But the punishment for a DUI second is more drastic it requires 45 days in jail, it requires a two-year loss of license, it requires a greater fine, it requires more alcohol treatment. The more DUIs one accumulates the punishment gets worse.
